I was invited to assist Eden Vaschon in shooting Choctails, a new kind of alcoholic chocolates that are about to be released on the market. Our charge was helping Tina, the company’s co-owner brand her product with a distinct look. We shot all day in a studio in Chelsea with two lovely models displaying the desserts.

I used a combination of my trusty Nikon 80-200mm f2.8 and my 50mm f1.8. Our Profoto monolights were triggered using PocketWizard tt-5. Light modifiers were a softbox on the backdrop, a cucoloris was used over our key, and the two edge lights were snooted with cardboard FedEx envelopes and duct tape. Hey, you make due where you have to. We were on a time constraint when we realized we didn’t have foil.

Thank you so much. We all worked very hard to get a great looking ad campaign for them.
