an aspiring, young model

Amanda has always wanted to be a fashion model, and though she’s definitely pretty enough, never had an opportunity to get instruction and photos to start things off. Then she stumbled upon Eden Vaschon’s ad for both instruction and fantastic photos to start her portfolio off and signed up immediately. We did her makeup, hair and had her bring a change of clothes, and while Eden gave her instruction on how to work in front of the camera, I snapped away. She obviously has a natural talent, and hopefully will have an avenue to make some extra money while she earns her college degree.

The studio photos using two soft boxes, one camera right at body height and one camera left down near the floor, and a reflector for some fill which was also camera left. Outside I used a combination of natural light and a single flash with a tight grid on it. My Nikon D800 is in the shop right now, so I dusted off my trusty D7000 for this shoot.

Eden Vaschon has been working with and photographing models and actors for many years, and is currently offering a package of first-rate modeling instruction and top quality headshots in a single afternoon.
