botanical garden engagement photos

I’ve been a slacker on blog posts so far this year, but thankfully it’s because my photography business is really picking up. Between that and being blessed by an amazing family, I’ve been super busy. All awesome things! I did this gorgeous couple’s wedding engagement photos almost 2 years ago (it’s always good to pick your photographer…

a wedding at st. vincents church

After shooting their engagement photos a year earlier, I was pleased to photograph this bride and groom’s wedding at the St. Vincents Martyr church. Following the nuptials and portrait photography, we had an awesome party at the Grain House At The Olde Mill Inn in Basking Ridge, NJ.

verona park wedding engagement

This engagement portrait session took place in Verona Park, Verona, NJ. We had a great time taking romantic, sun-dappled pictures in and around the park. Topping off the fun, the groom-to-be’s teenage daughter crashed our photo shoot for a group selfie. A year later I had the pleasure of shooting their wedding!

tasty vegan wedding

One of the things I love about wedding photography is the variety. I’ve shot weddings on the beach, in the woods, in churches and temples, in back yards, hotel ball rooms, at night and early in the morning. You name it. Each declaration of love is as unique as the couple exchanging vows. From their…

queens wedding

I shot this wedding about 2 years ago for George Street Photo. It took place at the United Presbyterian Church in Queens, New York.

lake valhalla winter wedding

Here’s another winter wedding photography I did for George Street Photo. The ceremony was inside the warm Lake Valhalla Club. After shooting family portraits while the guests enjoyed cocktails, the bride and groom and I went outside to brave the cold for moody, lakeside pictures in the snow. Take a look at my other photography and creative projects at NJohnston Photography.

greek orthodox wedding

I love traditional weddings. Orthodox Greek, Jewish or Muslim, it doesn’t really matter. I love the culture and history that comes with them, and as a photographer, they usually present beautiful and unique opportunities. The bride and groom were married in their family church in Queens, NY. After the ceremony we did family portraits, and then…

another snowy wedding

A winter wedding in the snow is always different and fun. I had the good fortune of working with this couple last year through George Street Photo. Their wedding ceremony was in the Poconos next to the Delaware River at the rustic Shawnee Inn. After a chilly first look on the sweeping veranda and some more pictures, the bride…

an urban wedding

This New York couple had a traditional Greek Orthodox wedding in their family’s church in Queens. After the ceremony and family portraits in the church, we went to The Foundry in Long Island City for a fun-filled reception party and some sexy roof-top photos. If you love my photography but can’t afford my full services through my…

married in sunnyside

This couple said their wedding vows in Long Island City’s at Saint Mary’s Church, and then went to The Water’s Edge restaurant for a spectacular view of New York City for their reception. Family portraits were all taken at the church before we left to the party. I was especially appreciative of the box if…
