family portraits in spring

Caroline and I took the girls to Riverside Park in Manhattan on the first truly awesome day of the year. Our friend Eden Vaschon took the family portrait, and then the girls romped some more under the trees in the grass. Welcome summer!

connie

I got to shoot Connie’s headshots for her acting career. Getting to work with an artist like her to photograph the portraits that encapsulate her personality and energy is a real joy.

maxwell

Nothing changes your life like a new baby, and it’s always an honor to be able to document it through photography. These newborn portraits were taken on New York’s Upper West Side. The little angel slept through most of the photo session, waking up for a snack and a clean diaper.

a wedding in tribeca

This New York City couple exchanged vows in the City Hall Restaurant in Tribeca. Before the ceremony, they did their “first look” and then wedding portraits in the streets of lower Manhattan. It was a cozy, friendly affair.

jamaica queens wedding

I had the pleasure of photographing this couple as they exchanged vows in the Bethlehem Church in Jamaica, Queens, NY. After the ceremony, we stopped at the Queens Botanical Garden for portraits and finished off the evening at the Blue Water Grill on Union Square in Manhattan.

claire & john

Over 48 years of love and devotion… Shot using my Nikon D7000 (a great camera for the nay-sayers out there) and my trusty 18-85mm f3.5-5.6 lens. Not really a portrait lens, but I wanted something wide enough to include Claire and John’s environment. Other gear included my Pocket Wizard TT-5s, SB-910 and Chimera Octa 2.

clover

an actress with flair in manhattan… Clover was fun to shoot. We went to several locations in Manhattan to get the look that she wanted. That’s my “assistant” Matt Lesser taking her picture in the subway station. He was there to help with the light and to provide creative input. The entire session was photographed…

tucson johrei center

a spiritual home in the desert… I took these portraits of Henry Ajiki and Gerry Nangle at the Tucson, Arizona Johrei Center on River Road. The photos were taken using a combination of 80-200 f2.8 and 18-85 f3.5 lenses on my Nikon D7000. Once again, my Pocket Wizard/Chimera Octa 2/SB-910 to the rescue. Occasionally the…
